Complete
Mouth Rehabilitation
Full mouth reconstruction, full mouth rehabilitation and full mouth
restoration are terms often used interchangeably to describe the process
of rebuilding or simultaneously restoring all of the teeth in both
the upper and lower jaws. The need for full mouth reconstruction may
result from:
-Teeth that have been lost due to decay or trauma.
-Teeth that have been injured or fractured.
-Teeth that have become severely worn as a result of long-term acid
erosion (foods, beverages, acid reflux) or tooth grinding.
-Ongoing complaints of jaw, muscle and headache pain requiring adjustments
to the bite (occlusion). |

Veneers
Dental veneers are custom-designed shells of tooth-like ceramic material
that, when applied over the surface of a tooth, can cover worn tooth
enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing and chips or cracks.Veneers
have long been used to create the ultimate smile makeover. With this
treatment, it's possible to transform crooked, stained, damaged or
badly worn teeth into a brand new, straight, white smile. |

Teeth
whitening
Teeth whitening is the process of removing stains and discolouration
from teeth and improving their colour through a bleaching process
to make them look "whiter". For heavily stained teeth, a
procedure as simple as a scale and polish from a dental hygienist
can significantly improve their appearance. |

Orthodontia
Orthodontia is the branch of dentistry that deals with abnormalities
of the teeth and face. Orthodontic care involves the use of devices,
such as braces, to
-Straighten teeth
-Correct problems with bite
-Close gaps between teeth
-Align lips and teeth properly
Most people who receive orthodontic care are kids, but adults get
braces, too. In young children, orthodontic treatment may guide proper
jaw growth. This can help permanent teeth to come in properly. Straight
permanent teeth can help prevent tooth problems later on. |

Cosmetic
Fillings
The process involves the skilful/artistic use of the correct amount
and colour of "dental composite", which is a mouldable material
with a paste-like consistency made from acrylic resins and a variety
of fillers, depending on the type used. Bonding is used for a variety
of cosmetic dental procedures, including:
-Filling dental cavities - "white fillings"
-Replacing metal or amalgam fillings
-Repairing broken and chipped teeth
-Closing gaps between teeth (diastamas)
-Reshaping teeth
-Smile makeovers - composite veneers (although porcelain veneers are
the better option for this) |

Dentures are prosthetic devices constructed to replace
missing teeth, and which are supported by surrounding soft and hard
tissues of the oral cavity. Dentures are removable replacements for
your teeth, designed to look and function like your own natural teeth
and surrounding gum tissues.
Types of dentures
When all your teeth are missing, a complete denture is used to replace
them, whereas if only a few teeth need replacing, a partial denture
or overdenture is used. Partial dentures can prevent your existing
healthy teeth from shifting following tooth loss. They can be of acrylic/metal.
We also provide soft, flexible and unbreakable dentures.
Crowns and Bridges
Dental crowns are restorations that protect damaged, cracked or broken
down teeth. A crown strengthens your existing, damaged tooth so as
to preserve its functionality. Dental crowns are also commonly known
as caps (because a crown sits over your existing tooth, covering the
entire outer surface).
Crown and bridge (Restorative Dentistry) refers to the restoration
of natural teeth that have been damaged, decayed or lost. |

Implants
A dental implant is an artficial tooth root replacement and is used
in prosthetic dentistry to support restorations that resemble a tooth
or group of teeth.
Advantages of Dental Implants-
-Improved appearance. Dental implants look and feel like your own
teeth. And because they are designed to fuse with bone, they become
permanent.
-Improved speech. With poor-fitting dentures, the teeth can slip within
the mouth causing you to mumble or slur your words. Dental implants
allow you to speak without the worry that your teeth might slip.
-Improved comfort. Because they become part of you, implants eliminate
the discomfort of removable dentures.
-Easier eating. Sliding dentures can make chewing difficult. Dental
implants function like your own teeth, allowing you to eat your favorite
foods with confidence and without pain.
-Durability. Implants are very durable and will last many years. With
good care, many implants last a lifetime. |

Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a tooth that is
badly decayed or becomes infected. During a root canal procedure,
the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned
and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will
become infected and abscesses may form.

Surgeries
Flap surgeries
When the gum does not conform properly with the tooth, gum surgery
may be necessary. Conditions, such as prolonged or untreated gum
disease, can cause the gums to separate from the teeth and form
pockets where bacteria and decay can further cause deterioration.
Left untreated, these pockets can lead to serious infections that
can cause bone loss, which can lead to the loss of teeth.Flap surgery
is the procedure used to reduce the pockets. This procedure involves
scraping away hard deposits (tartar or calculus) and reshaping damaged
bone. The object is to reduce the size of the pocket and allow the
tissue to firm up around the teeth.
Wisdom teeth removal
A wisdom tooth that is fully erupted through the gum can be extracted
as easily as any other tooth. However, a wisdom tooth that is underneath
the gums and embedded in the jawbone will require an incision into
the gums and then removal of the portion of bone that lies over
the tooth. Oftentimes, for a tooth in this situation, the tooth
will be extracted in small sections rather than removed in one piece
to minimize the amount of bone that needs to be removed to get the
tooth out.

Preventive Dentistry
Preventive dentistry for children includes brushing, flossing, dental
development, fluorides, oral habits, orthodontics, parental involvement,
proper diet, sealants and sports safety.Preventive dentistry means
a healthy smile for your child. Children with healthy mouths chew
more easily and gain more nutrients from the foods they eat. They
learn to speak more quickly and clearly. They have a better chance
of general health, because disease in the mouth can endanger the
rest of the body. A healthy mouth is more attractive, giving children
confidence in their appearance. Finally, preventive dentistry means
less extensive, and less expensive, treatment for your child. One
method of preventing cavities from developing in the pits and fissures.
Very effective procedure in children.
